the product arrived in an inner cardboard box and and outer cardboard box, between the two was a bit of wadded paper for padding. inside the inner box the product pieces were all secured between two large fitted styrofoam pieces. the tamper was broken obviously from the torque of being held between the two pieces of styrofoam.
when i asked amazon.com to please replace the tamper they required me to return the entire blender even though they sell tampers separately. the blender weighs 14#. the tamper weighs 7oz. this was extremely disappointing.
i asked amazon to please at least not wedge the tamper between styrofoam pieces and preferably not use any styrofoam at all. to surround the parts with paper... paper like the paper they use between the two boxes.
when the replacement blender arrived it was packaged exactly as the first. tons of styrofoam and the tamper wedged at the risk of torque. fortunately this one survived the shipping.
the reason i rated only "B" for product is for the "play" of the pitcher while sitting on the base. i have almost knocked it off more than once and feel i need to have a hand on top while blending or else it may fly off.

the product came in good condition and shipped pretty quickly. it's just super expensive. but i mean, that's what we paid for it so in terms of the product itself, it works really well.

Simple to use + great blending result!
Price from Amazon.com was a bit higher than the local retailer in the Chicago area.
