How overcooking cod fish can destroy a newly redecorated room March 6, 2010 J. malone We invited another couple to come participate in our first use of the DeLonghi food fryer. We followed the directions and used new vegatable oil and set the temp as directed. After the fish was lowered in the basket into the oil the oil began to boil in much the same manner as what is called a rolling boil in cooking pasta in a large pot. We cooked the fish for the prescribed time ( a few minutes) and found that even that it looked ok that it was way over cooked. Plus the batter was cemented to the basket. The smell of fish oil permeated the kithchen and the family room which had just been repainted and all the drapes and furniture reupholstered. The smell moved on to affect the house at large. It took 3 days for the smell to dissipate.

More than expectred... February 15, 2010 D. Hogan Excellent product. I've been using it about two months with regluarity and have been very satisfied. Strudy and reliable.
Uses much less oil than conventiional deep fryers due to rotarting the food through the oil as it cooks. You generally get much "crispier" results at the proper temperature for cooking.
Heats fast and thermostat seems accurate.
The system for emptying the oil, filtering it and storing is quite good. Easy once, you do it once, and a tidy way for handling the oil. I like to filter in the lid too...keeps the kitchen from smelling forever of fried foods.
The best in the business February 12, 2010 Edgardo Gierbolini Once you have one of these, you won't understand how you made do with anything else. It is without a doubt the best fryer out there. I've gone through dozens in my time and this puppy beats them all hands down.
the best home fryer! February 3, 2010 Michael G. Fischer This fryer works perfectly; the rotating basket cooks food evenly. It is also very easy to empty with the built in drain and the oil filter/storage system saves the oil for another use. Also, it washes up easily.
Super Fryer February 1, 2010 Stephen J. Hairston (ROUND ROCK, TX, US) I have had this fryer for two years, and it works great. The best thing about this fryer is that it was dropped once on a hard floor, and it did not crack it continued to work great. It cooks everything flawlessly. This is the best deep fryer on the market. The roto action makes it super easy to use, and the food cooks evenly.
