I had great hopes in this fryer, but the first time that I used it, it was a failure. The first batch cooked fine, but the fryer shut off and I couldn't get it to re-heat. I checked the magnetic cord and played around with temp adjustments, but nothing worked. I had half of my fish fried and the other half NOT fried. I had a $100.00 fryer on my counter and was frying fish in a frying pan because it wasn't working! :( That was pretty sad. I thought the basket handle was a pain too. I had to return this fryer. I bought the deep fryer with Emeril's name on it. It's made by T-fal. That one can be disassembled and most of it can go in the dishwasher. It also has a filtering system that filters that allows you to easily filter the oil after each use. It was more expensive, but it has made dealing with the oil mess much easier.

I purchased this fryer after long research and recommendation from a friend that also have it.It works great,it is easy to use,easy to clean.It comes with a plastic container to store the oil when you don't use it.What more can I say?!It is an excellent product.

We had an old fry daddy a long, long time ago. Then we used pans on the stove.... Finally purchased a food fryer and this is the best ever!!! It was safe, didn't "stink" up the house, easy to clean and minimal grease volume on the food. You can't go wrong. We couldn't believe how quickly we cleaned up. A healthy hint: Use Coconut Oil - organic virgin coconut if can. Food tastes great. This is a definite buy for anyone wanting a food fryer. We are new to the fryer game, but eating healthy with this fryer. The rotating basket is great. BUY IT!!!

We have only used this a few times, but I already know this is the best fryer we have EVER owned in 20+ years. The price was perfect, shipping as always was fast. It's true you get way less oil if any in the food since the basket spins. We set our home (shoestring) fries on 10 min, and they came out perfect. Cleanup? I have never seen someone come up with the perfect drain
Someone must have been up late @ night figuring this out. Very simplistic. Raise the basket handle, raise the empty spout latch cover, pull the rubber hose down, set the fryer on the sink with the oil catcher in the sink, pinch the hose, pop the plug, and let her drain. Took maybe 60 sec.
We didn't use the screen since we don't use oil over and over. This really is a dream machine. Even has the safety plug for people with kids. If they pull or hit the electric cord, it disconnects insted of pulling a hot pot of oil on them. I couldn't be happier.

This is not the first Delonghi fryer we have owned, but it's the best. They keep improving the features and this one is perfect. The detachable cord for safety, the built in drain with a holder now for the oil container is way more convenient than ever before. You will not be disappointed with this fryer!!
