A must if you have 3 or more kids! July 28, 2010 teresacooks (MA) This griddle is huge, I can make an entire package of bacon at once and a bunch of pancakes/french toast. This has cut down my breakfast cooking time by 2/3, I LOVE it! It does have hot spots and cool spots though. . . which I wish it didn't.
LOVE it July 26, 2010 SR (Phoenix) I wanted a griddle to make pancakes so after reading reviews I decided to purchase this one. It has a non-stick surface and I have had no problems with food sticking to the griddle. I'm very happy with this purchase.
COOKING MADE SIMPLE July 18, 2010 pbd31 This griddle cuts cooking time in half. French toast and pancakes are cooked evenly and it greatly reduces cooking time. Clean up is quick. I love the tilt feature. This griddle is also perfect for making cheese steak sandwiches. Storage may be a problem since the griddle is quite large. I recommend this griddle if you are cooking for 3 or more people if not get the smaller one unless you are certain that you want a large cooking surface.
How did we ever cook breakfast without this? July 4, 2010 GatorLaurie13 This is the best way to cook an easy breakfast. We have made fried eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, etc. on this. Lots of surface area. It tilts to drain the grease. Very easy cleanup. I bought this for my husband for his b-day, and we use it every weekend without fail! It's a super easy cook surface. Love it!
Great grill for the money June 17, 2010 A. Taylor This griddle offers great value. I have tried several different griddles and this was the one that cooked the most even. I would pay extra for a griddle with a more widely dispersed heating element but this appears to be as good as it gets.
Pro's:
Even surface temperature for most items. If you preheat the griddle your pancakes will come out perfectly browned, or at least evenly cooked depending on your cooking skill.
Very large surface.
Con's:
For some reason bacon does not cook perfectly even on this griddle. I don't know why bacon strips would have more problems than large pancakes, french toast, grilled cheese sandwiches, or eggs but they do.
The griddle has what I would consider a cosmetic blemish. Even new the path of the heating element was visible on the surface of the griddle. It does not effect the way the griddle performs but it looks like a flaw whether it is one or now.
The cost of the large cooking surface is that you need a large storage area. I have one so that is not a big deal but I thought I should make potential buyers aware of that limitation.
