Second One July 27, 2010 CE (San Diego, CA) Received mine last night, was waiting patiently and I needed it right away. I shredded zucchini from garden overload last night. I am a minimalist but this is an item that I feel I needed. When I was missing a food processor, I tried by hand and what a pain. I did have an older processor that I used all the time, not the same brand. I had for ten years and it did not hold as much, but I liked it. This one performed better and I am happy with it the first time. It was quieter, holds more and did not move around on the counter, when shredding, like my old one did. After I used it for shredding zucchini to make zucchini cake, I used it to make coleslaw and it performed great! The processor was so easy to use that I did not need instructions. Keep in mind that this was the first time I had used it. I feel like I made a good purchase.
An Excellent Food Processor June 9, 2010 Mathew S. Planchard (Pass Christian, MS) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got the Hamilton Beach food processor after thoroughly reading all of the reviews, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed!
Admittedly, I have not tried to cut up a block of cheese with it, as I do not eat much cheese, so I can't be sure whether or not the review about it not being able to do so is accurate. However, what it does do extraordinarily well is:
Chop, mince, or puree vegetables.
Grate potatoes, celery, and onions with ease (admittedly leaving a few very small ungrated portions, but I have yet to see a food processor which does not).
That's all I've used it for so far. I haven't made dough in it yet or anything, although I am sure I will try that out soon enough. My general impression of the Hamilton Beach 10 cup processor though, is that it works really well, has a great capacity, and has no real downsides that I have yet found.
I use it really often, almost every time I make dinner.
great processor May 31, 2010 Read Reed (Michigan) I researched processors for over a year. I had a small cheap one for years that finally died and didn't want to spend the big bucks for one but I was "willing" to do it if it meant getting a good one. I bought this one after much reading and research and reading of reviews on Amazon and other internet reviews. I have had this processor for over a month and have used it about 3 times a week for everything and I could not be happier with it. If it gave up the ghost tomorrow I would purchase it again. It's suction cups hold it firmly in place, it is quiet and comes with a couple blades for shredding, dicing and chopping; I am completely happy with this purchase!
money saver May 27, 2010 C. Mayfield (Aurora, IN) I wanted something that would shred cheese, chop bologna, make bread crumbs, so I could buy chunk cheese and bologna at a cheaper price than the packaged cheese and deli ham salad. It does everything I wanted it to do. thanks
Good price for the product May 2, 2010 Ann (Athens Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had one of these models for years and it performed like a champ. My son, who's a chef, was used to industrial-strength choppers and broke it when trying to open it. I looked for a replacement and couldn't find anything to match it at the same price. I don't have to baby it, just keep it away from my son.
