Cheap junk. July 28, 2010 Richard Vidaurri 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I can hardly wait until Boeing moves its manufacturing plants to the Orient, can't you?
I bought this thing because a web site told me that Sharp still made its microwave ovens in the United States. Wrong. My specimen is from Thailand, and I wish it had stayed there. Rickety at the best of times, the carousel turns like it has arthritis. The power settings seem to have been imbued with decision-making powers, and the thing is LOUD.
Next time, and it will be soon, I will opt for a more expensive, Japanese model.

terrific microwave July 27, 2010 Valerie Reynolds (Haddonfield, NJ, US) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's sleek, simple, easy to use, easy to clean, fits on a book shelf beside my cookbooks when I had no place for it in the kitchen. I slid a rectangular wood board under the microwave to make a perpendicular shelf available when I pull out a dish. Perfect.
GREAT Compact Microwave July 20, 2010 J. Foreman 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Fits in the tiny space perfectly and looks great. Plenty of room inside for my 2 qt casserole and works wonderfully.
Does what it is supposed to do July 10, 2010 MikeyBK I live in a small studio in NYC, and this sharp mw is the perfect match for my cozy lil kitchen and his other stainless steel borthers and sisters. NOt much functionality, but what do you expect for the price? Overall quite satisfied.
Replacement Microwave July 4, 2010 PE (fabulous florida keys) After the original microwave we got when we bought our house (in 1995) finally packed in, this is with what we replaced it. At first I was unsure, as I was VERY used to the old machine-knew its timing for EVERYTHING, knew the key sequence, etc.
But, now that I have had this one for a little while, I realize it is just as good. The only thing is that each and every finger print shows on the stainless, especially on the door opening button. But it has all the features of the previous one, plus a few more. Even though it is a little smaller and less powerful than the old one, it works fine. I only use it for light duty, no cook times longer than the 8 minutes it takes to cook a butternut squash to perfection.
