Delightful Addition to kitchen tools July 30, 2010 Molly Hale (Menlo Park, Ca United States) Once introduced to the ease of use of hand blenders, I searched for the best one for me. I have a compromised grip in both hands. This unit has been easy for me to manipulate as a two-handed user. The powerful motor makes fast work out of any blending task from soups and smoothies; making whipping cream; and the chopping attachment is useful. The non-skid bases are effective. From the photo of the blender online, it is difficult to see there is a powercord. I was quite surprised (and a little disappointed) when I saw the powercord, thinking I had ordered a rechargeable unit. However, I prefer this blender as it is powerful and always ready for use. Makes food preparation easier.
best stick blender ever July 27, 2010 Laura Lindberg Great, easy to use, handy and versatile tool. I don't believe in gadgets, but this thing does the work of several other appliances and is easy to clean and handle. Marches through any blending/chopping job like a pro. Love it!!
Makes a HUGE mess! July 24, 2010 Jennifer Leonard (Jersey City, NJ United States) I had a Braun Multiquick that I *loved*, and left behind with an ex-boyfriend. Since the Braun is no longer available, I bought this one, since it had good reviews and was in a similar price range so I expected to love it similarly.
The immersion stick makes the BIGGEST MESS! Seriously! It's got those holes in the part around the blade and food squirts out them and goes everywhere every time I lift the holes above the surface level of the food, which is constantly so I can get the food at the top under the blade. I made baby food with it today and everything within a 3-foot radius is now splattered with green beans, and I hope my shirt comes clean!
I really, really miss my Braun... :(
WARNING: ADAPTORS NOT WASHABLE July 21, 2010 G. lechter (Miami, FL USA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
ADAPTORS (YOU GET TWO) ARE NOT WASHABLE, THEY ARE NOT TO GET WET, THEY RETAIN JUICES AND MOLD AND STINK! ALSO I WANT TO POINT OUT THAT THIS DEVICE HAS NO SAFETY FEATURES AT ALL AND IT IS ESSENTIALLY A BOAT PROPELLER IN YOUR FACE. A CHILD OR A DRUNK PERSON COULD DO HUGE DAMAGE TO THEIR FACE OR ARMS AND BLEED TO DEATH. IT IS A 6,000 RPM KNIFE FLYING IN THE AIR.
Great for RV or Boat July 19, 2010 Hotspur I live on a boat with my family and we travel. I purchased this gadget in 2008 because it was a space saver and it took the place of my blender and food processor and mixer. It works well off my inverter and I use the heck out of it. It has been in marine conditions for two years now and is still running strong! It does a great job. I'm writing a review on it on my Blog so that other cruisers out there might consider purchasing one. It would be super in a RV, too! I only wish it chopped ice better.
