Powerful, good value. January 7, 2009 Amanoyed (Texas) This is really a good product. Powerful motor, churns through almost anything and the variable speeds are a necessity. You'll see some cheaper ones with a single or couple of speeds. I would reccommend against those. One caution, if you do order from Amazon, do so with the expectation that something will go wrong. I think they may be getting so big that they can't manage it. We ordered two things for Christmas, both went to the wrong address. This particular product went to a household on the other side of town. They had the right name but the wrong address on the package. The recepient was kind enough to look me up in the phone book and call me to tell me that I had a package at his house. Where Amazon got that address I'll never know. Amazon customer service (aka opium den in Calcutta) assured me that it was my fault and that in 28 days if I hadn't recieved my package, that I could apply for a credit. I couldn't explain to them how that was going to be hard to put a bow on. My niece has a similar issue. She lives in CA and ordered something big that she didn't want to try to take on the airline, so she asked that it be shipped to her parent's house for Christmas. Of course, it came to her house, Amazon said, 'Tough nuggies", she paid FedEx to ship it to her parent's house. In summary, I can sure reccommend the product but not the seller.
KitchenAid KHB300WH Hand Blender January 6, 2009 Glenn E. Mitchell This hand held blender is well made, strong, fast and quiet. It makes short work of routine chopping and blending chores. Too, it opens the door for experimentation with things like salsas, smoothies and batters that I would be interested in, but ordinarily would not do for the sake of time. You should definitely purchase this model because the accessories are useful tools, not clutter. Cleanup is a breeze. I bought this because countertop blenders occupy more space than their use warrants.Highly recommended.
This is the Bomb!!! January 6, 2009 Sharma Dutton (Spokane, WA) I don't usually review things, but had to take the time to review this. I got this just in time for Christmas. Both my blender and food processor bit the dust in December. This little product handled the jobs of both of them with extra functionality to spare. It blends like a champ! Better than a lot of blenders I've owned when doing smoothies or frozen berries, etc. It also does a great job of working like a food processor. Easy to clean, easy to use, flexible. Probably going to be the most used item in my kitchen. I used to have a Pampered Chef Food Chopper as well. This one item replaces all three, easily.
High Quality Hand Mixer December 30, 2008 L. DeGreef (Waterford, WI) I just replaced my 10-year old Braun hand mixer with the Kitchen Aid Immersion Blender. WOW - all these years I had no idea what I was missing! The Kitchen Aid is a MUCH higher quality. It has a more powerful, variable-speed motor, a detachable and stainless (i.e. stain-proof)stick, a long, durable cord, and not to mention the great chopper and whisk attachments. This HIGH QUALITY blender is well worth the money.
This is an Awesome kitchen tool!! December 20, 2008 K. Vicaire (Leominster, MA) I've been wanting one of these for a long time and it was well worth the wait - great for mixing pancake batter, eggs, chopping spices, etc. I love it!
