Squeeze the baster's black rubber bulb to suck up pan juices or other basting liquids, squeeze the bulb again and out spurt the juices or liquids to keep a turkey or tenderloin moist while it's roasting. To get flavoring liquids deep into a roast, the injector needle works wonders. Tip: run hot water through the baster to warm it before basting or injecting so liquids will not cool down.
