My dehydrator has had only a few days' rest since I got it. It's been humid here so most things have to dry longer than usual. Ordered the jerky gun, extra trays and tray inserts a few days after this - if I had it to do over, I would order all at the same time. Everyone loves my jerky made from hamburger. Amazon is so much cheaper than everywhere else, even Walmart. And with free shipping on a lot of things here, who wants to go to the store anymore and burn gas.

I've had this product for over a month now, and I must say, it's absolutely fantastic. It works wonderfully for everything from fruit rolls to beef jerky. It's very powerful, so be careful to not have this on a circuit that may already be overloaded. But, in being powerful, it dries everything faster than the manual actually says. It gives jerky a drying time of 4-15 hours. I've dried jerky at least 10 times in it by now, and it's never even taken 4 full hours. I usually have to remove the jerky just before 3 and a half hours. And this is with all 5 trays completely jam-packed, covered in beef.
Great product, glad it was my choice, will buy again if this one eventually breaks.

I purchased the Nesco FD-75PR in February. I've used the dehydrator "8" times making dried chicken breast for my dog (she is a 3 lb yorkie) and it worked beautifully. Yesterday was no exception. This morning I thought I'd try drying tarragon but when I plugged in nothing happened. Nesco customer service stated "it's probably an internal switch, which happens". It is a pain to pack just the top and send back for replacment or repair. If the problem "happens" with very moderate use it looks like they would use better internal switches.
I would never purchase a Nesco product again.

THE NESCO FD-75PR 700 WORKED BETTER THAN I HAD HOPED FOR.I DID SIX BATCHES OF DIFFERENT KINDS OF JERKEY AND THEY ALL CAME OUT PERFECT. I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR EVERYONE.
