| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review Nothing beats the caramel aroma and fresh flavor of home-baked waffle cones, and this appliance makes one in about two minutes. And, because it has instant temperature recovery, it makes cone after cone without delay. The baking process itself averages about 90 seconds, depending on the degree of browning required. A color-control dial makes that personal-taste choice easy to select. Accompanying the waffle-cone maker is a plastic cone-rolling form. Illustrated instructions show how easily it's done, and recipes provide the remaining information needed to become a master cone maker. The nonstick waffle plates measure 7 inches in diameter and clean with the swipe of a cloth. Overall, the 1,000-watt appliance measures 8-3/4 inches wide, 3-1/4 inches high, and 10 inches deep. It carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

chefs choice 838 waffle cone maker August 9, 2010 stoney Nice and compact. Potential buyers should be informed that the product operates on 110 volt network and could not be used on the 220 volt networks of europe or south africa without a step down transformer
Best thing since sliced bread! August 3, 2010 E. Curran I have Type 1 Diabetes and multiple food allergies. The waffle cone maker is fantastic for creating low sugar cones using alternative flours other than wheat. I couldn't believe how easy it was. Even the first batch came out perfectly. As a special education teacher, I also use it at school to make treats with the kids and reinforce their concept and vocabulary development. I'm looking forward to experimenting with making cookies, cannoli, and hard taco type shells for sandwiches.
Good performance for the price September 21, 2009 P. Tucker (Nashville, TN USA) This waffle maker was a pleasant surprise for the money. Different brands at the specialty stores were significantly more expensive. The cones cooked quickly and evenly and tasted great (used Chef's Choice waffle cone mix). They were a big hit with the guests of our small party.
One of the best purchases Ive made September 8, 2009 Mary J. Gailor 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought the waffle maker thinking it will do until I can find a better brand. Well I dont have to find a better this one is great
really great purchase June 28, 2009 [1persons opinion (vancouver, bc Canada) I've been looking for one of these forever and really happy I found it finally. I love fresh made waffle cones as a cookie substitute and now my daughter does too. They are so much better than store bought and you know that they have the best ingredients in them because you used the best. I haven't quite got the trick of the folding so you have no hole at the bottom. Oh well, I guess the less perfect ones are for the cook! Fun and only takes a few minutes to whip up a batch.
