Product Description The stainless steel waffle maker from Cuisinart with nonstick plates makes four triangular sections at a time. Includes manufacturer's limited warranty. Style WMR-C.
Amazon.com Review Cooking Sunday breakfast for one or two becomes a pleasurable task with this compact waffle maker. Red and green lights indicate when to add batter and when the 7-inch round waffle is done. A regulating thermostat and a five-setting control produce waffles perfectly browned to personal preference. With a brushed stainless-steel exterior and sleek design, the waffle maker looks elegant in any kitchen and stores upright in compact spaces. The nonstick round plate is divided into four quarters and wipes clean easily. This classic waffle maker measures 8 by 9-1/2 by 3 inches, and comes with a three-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

A Little Skeptical at First March 7, 2010 William Blasdel (Miami) I own a Cuisinart Classic Waffle Maker and I love it. It performs very well and is simple to use. I do spray the cooking surface a little with a cooking spray but the waffles cook to perfection every time and it is not difficult to clean up. I use my setting between 3 and 4 ( a little more to the 4 side).
So many people give this item a poor rating but I have to say that I really like mine; I almost didn't purchase it after reading all the negatives but I decided to go ahead and I am not sorry at all. Don't bad-mouth this item because I sincerely believe that all the problems are the operators of the product and not the product itself.
I would recommend this item; it is very reasonably priced and so easy to use and it cleans up with a swipe of paper towel. I do store it with paper towel between the cooking surfaces and I slip it into a large "zip-lock' bag in case any oil might drip. Honestly, I have had no oil dripping but it is just a safety measure.
Don't hesitate to purchase this item because it works well. AND, you need a little cooking spray each time (not much) which will give you perfectly round waffles that separate from the grill with ease and are cooked well.
.......happy in Miami.
Spend your money on a better one March 7, 2010 Derald D. Freeman (Fort Worth, TX) I bought this waffle maker because of brand name and price.
It was a big disappointment.
PROS: It cooks waffles at the right temperature for the setting and they come out looking good. It does not take up counter space and has a great appearance.
CONS: Waffles stick and are hard to removed without tearing up. I've tried cooking spray and cooking oil but nothing helps. The biggest problem is the smell. The burned plastic smell lingers for hours after it cools. Makes me wonder if it is in the food. The griddles cannot be removed for cleaning and are a pain to try to wash. It's on the back shelf and I am ordering a better 3-in-1 selection.
finely a good one March 5, 2010 Idell R. Lembke this waffle iron is great, we tried several, and this is the only one, that made nice crisp waffles very fast, just watch for the light to turn green and there done, it will keep up with 4 people vary easily. it's fast took a little bit to get the amount right but that's normal.
Wish I had this years ago! February 27, 2010 Eliza Tupa (Sioux Falls, SD United States) There is nothing bad I can say about this waffle maker...except maybe I'd prefer a more "toaster friendly" waffle shape if you are the type who makes them ahead and freezes them.
I love "classic" waffles...NOT belgian...and it seems Classic waffle makers are hard to find. Cuisinart has made the best one of the 3 I've tried. The waffle maker is sleek but nicely made and substantial and does not have any unnecessary size or dials or controls or anything to it. You plug it in, the red light comes on to preheat. The preheat is pretty quick and the light goes to green. You pour the waffle and the light goes to red, then the green light is the signal the waffles are perfectly done. I've NEVER had a waffle maker that churned out such perfectly even (both sides the same done-ness!!!) waffles SO FAST. I swear it seemed like 30 sec per waffle.
Buy this waffle maker as a gift, or just to replace the one you have that's not-so-great. You'll be glad you did!
Love it! February 21, 2010 jsslotter (Groton, MA) I use this waffle iron at least three times a month. My favorite recipe is the cornmeal waffles from the instruction book. They come out perfect every time.
