Product Description Behold a professional quality machine that is suitable for home use. This waffle maker lets you flip the waffle 180 degrees for even baking and browning. The deep grids produce waffles with substantial pockets, just begging to be filled with maple syrup and melting butter! Non-stick grid surfaces allow the waffles to release without a struggle and permit a speedy cleanup so you can go read the Sunday paper. This machine is so rewarding and easy to use, you'll find that sweet and savory waffles appear for snacks, dinner, and lunches, as well as for breakfast.

So far....real good....... June 27, 2010 P. Brooks I've come to realize that while negative comments are justified on one hand, failure to follow instructions are the main reasons for poor performance.
The unit:
Good weight and a bit large for leaving on any counter top. I'll box it away when not in use.
Temperature dial with an on/off switch and a 3-prong plug.
I plug mine into a surge protector, not directly into the outlet.
Drip tray really comes in handy as you will need it.
So far, the only negative is that while the 6 beep ready timer works fine, the 3 beep when finished cooking timer is erratic.
For the first few waffles, it went off after only 1 minute. The waffles were not done.
The next couple of times, it went off after around 1 1/2 minutes. The waffles were not done.
Using temperature setting #4, I set my microwave timer to 3 minutes and adjusted +/- from there, depending on taste.
Others posted that waffles were sticking to the plates.
I followed the instructions and allowed the unit to heat up "without" oil seasoning. Once ready, I then seasoned.
Once ready, I kept a small dish with a cooking paint style brush and vegetable oil next to the unit.
Brushed the cooking surfaces lightly before each and every waffle that was made.
Was thinking of using the oil spray can stuff, but you really can't adjust quantity and it tends to overspray.
It only takes a second and, in the end, there was absolutely no mess whatsoever......the plates were clean as a whistle.
Problems with after-sticky messes may be due to not cooking long enough for the waffles to separate from the plates, and you have to use oil in the batter per the recipe.
You have to experiment with temperature/cooking times to suit your own taste.
The recipe:
Ouch!.....you've got to be kidding.
I'm not about to spend all day in prep just to cook a few waffles.
Hence.....the old Bisquick!.....yep.
I used the waffle recipe and added the supreme section of the pancake recipe which is 2 tblsp of baking powder (for height), 2 tblsp of sugar and 1 teasp of vanilla.
Light, fluffy Belgian waffles......in just a few minutes of prep time. It's a personal opinion of course.
BTW....let the finished batter sit and thicken for a few minutes before use.
Can't speak to longevity, so time will tell.
But as of now, I'm lovin it!
Best ever June 3, 2010 CKMom (Cedar Falls, IA, US) Waffles have become the Sunday breakfast of choice for our family when we are at the lake. Since their are 16 of us, I needed a second Waring Pro Professional Belgian Waffle Maker. We use the "Good Night Waffles" recipe that is sent with the instruction book. I stir up a double batch the night before, so it's nearly done for morning. The Waring Pro Waffle Maker is easy to use. A light indicator and beeper tells you when it is preheated, a beeper lets you know when the waffle is done and no sticking to the grids. Follow the instructions for use and you will have delicious perfect waffles every time.
Don't waste your money! May 16, 2010 Apple I read the reviews on this waffle maker, but couldn't believe that a small appliance could die as so many said. They were all correct! This waffle maker makes the the best waffles ever, and makes them in a couple minutes. However, after using it a couple times, it just dies by blowing a fuse you cannot replace. So, you cannot plan on it to work! It is a waste of money to pay $70 for an appliance that works only a couple times!
Durable, inexpensive and April 20, 2010 N. Salehi (Los Angeles, CA United States) I bought this waffle maker to replace an older Waring Pro WMK300 which broke down after it fell to the ground from a fairly high shelf. Both the old and new waffle makers consistently produce very good waffles. I have been using the maker every Sunday for the past couple of years and each time it never disappointed. We have had many Sunday Brunches with this machine with as many as 40 people where waffle was the main part of brunch. It has been reasonably fast in making waffles and I have made around 30 waffles in slightly less than an hour with this machine.
One thing I noticed with the new waffle maker is that it weighs noticeably less than the old one. Everything else is more or less identical.
I wish there was a NO STAR option April 18, 2010 Orerockon (Nunnya Business) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a piece of CR@P. After using it about 10 times the waffles stick to the point where we can't even scrape the batter off anymore. This is after following the directions EXACTLY, spraying with Pam before each waffle. The nonstick coating is a bad joke. AVOID!
